About

I am a professional copyeditor and proofreader, specializing in full-length fiction and non-fiction works, and academic articles. I am is also a voracious reader and an obsessive writer.

My world revolves around thinking about words, whether I am listening to great speeches, reading great writing, or composing fun stories. To this end, I work as a copyeditor, writer, and writing lecturer at the University of Florida. I also tutor English grammar and mechanics.

As an avid reader, I like to consume words across a broad spectrum–fiction, non-fiction (mostly philosophy, theory, and religious text), poetry, and comics.

When I am not reading, copyediting, or proofreading, I am a devoted yogi and cyclist, and when I have time, I spend hours binge-watching anime.

I have a BA in English from the Kennesaw State University, an MA in American Studies from University of Florida,  and a PhD in Cultural Studies, with a focus on Discourse and Rhetoric, also from the University of Florida.

Being a copyeditor and proofreader has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I get to read new works and help writers realize their dreams.
